On the fourty sixth day of the year I decided that this would be the ideal moment to wish all of you a happy new year of 2018 and to show you my new projects!
​
End of the year resolutions are not especially important to me. And the deadlines that I usually define do not magically pile up in January… I believe that continuous work and constant self-criticism is what gives rise to a sustainable growth.
However, the last days of 2017, while I was in bed with the flu, allowed me to stop all the running around and calmly think about all the happy and serious things that happened since the moment I decided to dive head first into this project, return to Portugal, and breathe lovely things every day.

It around the spring equinox, and surely the date was not randomly chosen, that the old Jardin d’Époque blog was no longer used to share my DIY projects and culinary experiences, and assumed a new identity as a floral design brand.
Suddenly, a whirlpool of events occurred, and I saw myself surrounded by beautiful and truly inspiring people that allow me to improve myself daily. And those constant improvements are so, so good!

I believe that all expressions of confidence are the perfect incentive to believe that were capable and that good things will happen. They are also a big responsibility… And I would like to thank Raquel for the first one. It was that expression of confidence that definitely gave me the final push and showed me that, although very difficult, it is possible to manage a distance of 1700 km and weekly flower deliveries (ok, Ryanair helped too).
Shortly afterwards, Sofia and André entrusted me with their most special day… What a day it was! What a project! I will forever remember Sofia spinning and smiling, and André’s trembling hands… And the butterflies on my stomach, anxious to see if everything was according to their expectations!
Julieta and Miguel challenged me to a megalomaniac project to be executed in less than a month… Of course everything worked out! It couldn’t be anything different for such a cool bride!
Júlia and Pedro came from the other side of the Atlantic… Themselves plus around two hundred guests. They shared that day with my parent’s fifty fourth wedding anniversary… And I thought that it could only be a good sign!
Justine and Paulo appeared suddenly in my life right when I was moving back to Portugal and raised the bar even more, taking me to the sweet Comporta. I can still feel the heat in my skin and hear the tall vegetation balancing in the light breeze of that that…

Rute showed me that there are things that cannot be explained… The cumplicity, the intense energy and sharing of two people that know each other for such a short time and that seem to know each other since forever! With her came Luz and something tells me that I will write many times about the adventures of these Three Musketeers! It is incredible to work with other professionals, to understand the synergies that are created and the wonderful results that come from them… Further news very soon!

I heard lovely comments from people that knows what they’re doing. That have been around for a while, developing fantastic projects and it fills my heart with joy when the validate my work… A big “merci” to Susana!

Contributing to the stress of December, I decided to change to a new studio! The string of challenges that were overcome and the beginning of more and more adventures implies an overwhelming growth… I miss CRU COWORK a lot… But now, I look through the window and I see the old houses of Sé and the Clérigos Tower! The workdays will be even longer but Margarida and Bolota will always be nearby, constantly comforting me.
In addition to the changes in the real word, I decided to organize the virtual one! Among the updates of our online “home” and social networks, I will start using the blog as a communication and sharing tool of what is happening with us. Once a week I will force myself to write about what and who inspires me!

Ao quadragésimo sexto dia do ano, achei que seria o momento ideal para desejar-vos um óptimo 2018 e mostrar-vos o que se magica aqui deste lado!
Não dou uma especial importância a balanços de final de ano. E as metas que tenho por hábito definir também não se adensam como que por magia nos meses de Janeiro... Acredito que é o trabalho contínuo e as críticas constantes que fazem com que o crescimento seja sustentável.
Mas os últimos dias de 2017, em que partilhei a cama e o sofá lá de casa com uma valente gripe, permitiram-me parar a correria e pensar devagar em todas as coisas felizes, e mais sérias também, que aconteceram desde o momento em que decidi mergulhar de cabeça neste projecto, regressar a Portugal e respirar coisas bonitas todos os dias.
Foi pelo Equinócio da Primavera, e claro que a data não foi escolhida ao acaso, que o velhinho blog do Jardin d' Époque deixou de ser a partilha dos meus 'DIY' e experiências culinárias e assumiu a identidade de marca de design floral.
E, de repente, um turbilhão maravilhoso aconteceu e eu vi-me rodeada de pessoas bonitas e verdadeiramente inspiradoras, que me obrigam a superações diárias. E essas superações são tão, mas tão boas!
Creio que os votos de confiança são o incentivo perfeito para acreditar que somos capazes e que as coisas vão mesmo acontecer. São também de uma enorme responsabilidade... E eu agradeço à Raquel o primeiro voto de confiança. Foi ele que, definitivamente, me deu o empurrão e que me mostrou que, embora muito difícil, é possível gerir 1700 km de distância e entregas de flores semanais (vá, e a Ryanair também).
Logo a seguir, a Sofia e o André confiaram-me o dia mais especial... E que dia! E que projecto! Recordarei para sempre o sorriso e o rodopiar da Sofia, as mãos ainda trémulas do André... E as borboletas na minha barriga, ansiosa por perceber se tudo estava de acordo com as expectativas!
A Julieta e o Miguel lançaram-me o desafio de um projecto megalômano em menos de um mês... E claro que foi tudo possível! Não poderia ser de outra forma para uma noiva com tanta pinta!
A Júlia e o Pedro vieram do outro lado do Atlântico... Eles e cerca de duas centenas de convidados. Partilharam o dia em que os meus pais comemoraram cinquenta e quatro anos de casados... E eu acho que isso só pode ser um bom sinal!
A Justine e o Paulo entraram de rompante, literalmente, no meio de uma mudança de país e aumentaram ainda mais a fasquia levando-me até à doce Comporta. Ainda sinto o calor na pele e consigo ouvir o balançar da vegetação alta ao sabor da brisa desse dia...
A Rute mostrou-me que há coisas que não se explicam mesmo... A cumplicidade, a energia e a partilha, tão intensas, de duas pessoas que se conhecem há tão pouco tempo e que parecem ter uma vida em comum! Com ela veio a Luz e alguma coisa me diz que irei escrever muitas vezes sobre as aventuras d'As Três Mosqueteiras! É incrível trabalhar com outros profissionais e perceber as sinergias que se criam e os resultados maravilhosos que daí surgem... Mais novidades muito em breve!
Houve muitas palavras bonitas de gente que sabe o que faz. Que já cá anda há algum tempo, que desenvolve projectos fantásticos e que me enchem o coração quando validam o meu trabalho... Um 'merci' muito grande à Susana!
Para ajudar ao reboliço do mês de Dezembro, houve ainda uma mudança de estúdio! A sucessão de desafios superados e o surgimento de mais e mais aventuras, implica um crescimento avassalador... Tenho muitas saudades da CRU COWORK... Mas agora, olho pela janela e ali está o casario da Sé e a Torre dos Clérigos! Os dias de trabalho prometem ser ainda mais longos, mas a Margarida e a Bolota estarão sempre por perto a distribuírem mimos em forma de lambidelas.
A juntar às mudanças físicas, decidi arrumar o mundo virtual! E entre actualizações da casa online e redes sociais, retomo o blog como ferramenta de comunicação e partilha do que se vai passando por cá. Uma vez por semana, vou obrigar-me a escrever sobre o quê e quem me inspira!
Até já e que as uvas passas e as sementes de romã sejam sinónimo da concretização de todos os desejos para 2018!
